I'd like to be in an Octopus's garden with you. But failing that, I'll just hang up some pictures I like, and hope to lure you in for a few minutes as you swim by.
I can't remember where I found these, but probably on some marvellous library or museum website. These are, apparently, quite typical of the stories read to German youngsters. Grimm...very grimm. :)
These wonderful hands were ripped from the Wunderkammer set on Flickr. Fabulous! Especially this last one, which seems to have been designed for a special purpose.
I found these pictures of Brian Dettmer's stunning paper art on this website for an art gallery. Also, excellent, excellent photo set on FlickR. Worth a look. His book works in particular are so original and finely crafted. If anyone is considering a gift for me....please, please, please may I have one of these?
Rosa and Daniel are as inseparable as olive oil and garlic. They enjoy many of the same things: cephalopds (only the mysterious "S" knows why), food and drink, sex, miniatures, art, plants, books, glass, science, anatomy, music...and so on. Some people say Rosa and Daniel are twins. Which one's the evil one? Each one points at the other.
